I’ve done a number of projects for this customer over six months including clearing dead trees, trenching, constructing French/ag drains, general excavation, and a large spoon drain as they renovate and landscape their property.
This project was to excavate and sculpt a spoon drain along one of the boundaries of their property to help redirect the water flow to the table drain along the road and reduce the waterlogging of their land.

The spoon drain is about ninety meters long and the owners’ plan is to plant screening shrubs along the top for privacy and as a wind break.

The owners also wanted the approach of the berm to be gentle to allow for easy mowing when the grass grows back.
So once the drain was excavated I compacted the berm and spread it back using the loader to give a nice clean smooth finish ready for tree planting.
